There are two Freesat services you can get through your satellite dish:

SKY’S FREESAT SERVICE: This gives you in excess of 240 digital TV and 85 digital radio channels to choose from. 11 of the TV channels are in HD, and you can record live TV.

THE JOINT BBC/ITV FREESAT SERVICE: Get more than 200 TV and radio channels, with access to HD channels and the ability to pause and rewind live TV.

Both services require just a one-off upfront payment to get everything set up. There’s no monthly subscription.
